The Clinic
Established in Vancouver in 1993 by Joseph Kwok. Po Chi Lam Health Centre (寶芝林) has been serving the local community for twenty-six years. The clinic offers treatments in Acupuncture, Injury Treatment, and Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). The practice continues to grow by referrals from our wonderful patients.
Dr. Kwok is certified as a Registered Acupuncturist as well as Registered Traditional Chinese Medicine Practitioner in BC.
A majority of our treatments are covered under BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) and by extended health benefits. Please feel free to call our office for more information.
We are now located in Richmond, BC, near Bridgeport Road and Shell Road.
Services Provided
Po Chi Lam Health Centre provides several services including Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), Injury Therapy (跌打), Acupuncture (針灸), and is a training centre for Chinese martial arts, Hung Ga Kuen (洪家拳).
Treatments can be for the following issues:

Sports injuries, frozen shoulder, arthritis, tennis elbow, falls/sprains, work injuries, and injuries resulting from car accidents through massage therapy.

Acute pain and the management of chronic pain issues through acupuncture.

Traditional Chinese Medicine including gynaecology, paediatrics, and other internal medicine health issues.

How to get here
From the Skytrain, at Bridgeport Station, you can take bus #430 - Metrotown Station and stop once you are pass Shell Road. After that, it’s a short walk into the complex.
From driving, there is ample parking - we are off Bridgeport Road. Turn into Simpson Road and then right on Voyageur Way. We will be on your left side on Voyageur Way.
Our History
Martial Arts
Joseph Kwok is a disciple of Mok Kwai Lan, wife of the famed Master Wong Fei Hung, from whom he learned both Traditional Chinese Medicine as well Hung Ga Keun.
Joseph Kwok also established the Wong Fei Hung & Mok Kwai Lan Disciples Association to honour his master, Mok Kwai Lan, and the principles that she and many other students of Wong Fei Hung have expressed, with hopes to continue their legacy in Canada and worldwide.
